 | MEENAKSHI was born with a funny name in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!). She spent her important growing-up years in Washington, DC, but has also lived about half her life in California. At university, Meenakshi studied linguistics and loves ALL languages. She can also tell you anything about the NBA in the 1990s, if that's what you came to Hamburg to discuss.
When not giving tours and pretending to be the infamous pirate Klaus Störtebeker, Meenakshi also loves arguing, trivia, and the works of Jean-Claude Van Damme. With a great knowledge of the city and keenness to learn German, her passion for Hamburg knows no limits. After finishing his university studies in tourism, he decided to come to Germany to experience a different way of life and learn some new things. A student of both German and the tango, René loves living in Hamburg, and he can't get enough of the cultural diversity of his beloved St. Pauli district. For this reason, he has decided to spend his Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights on the infamous Reeperbahn, leading pub crawls along the 'Mile of Sin'! Sam loves traveling, discovering new places and meeting different people. His Tourism Management program allowed him to study in Slovenia and Central America. Eventually, after finishing his studies, he came to Hamburg to learn more about himself and about the tourism business, to learn German and, above all, to have fun! Sam loves Hamburg's many canals, and often goes for a run around the Alster. Aside from hanging out in the city center and the Speicherstadt, Sam will also probably show up on a pub crawl or two....
